Video Production Assistant Intern
Placement Description: This internship is an opportunity to gain first-hand video production experience in a professional sports environment. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have some interest and experience in video production, and a passion for sports. This position requires a great deal of time and hard work during the season. During the semester, interns can expect to work 10-15 hours a week, depending on the team's home schedule; summer interns can expect to work 40-100 hours per week. Summer interns only may receive compensation for their duties. Compensation is dependent upon the level of experience of the intern.
Responsibilities include video shooting and editing, graphic design, media archiving, and assisting in off-site productions. On game-days there are the additional responsibilities of organizing and planning game-day events, as well as participating in game-day productions. Interns will work hand-in-hand with the entire front office staff to enhance the fan experience at the ballpark.
Internships begin in January and mid-May, and continue for the length of the season or until the intern needs to return to college. Candidates may elect to use the internship for college credit, or solely resume experience if they wish. Interns must be available to work more than 90% of home games, and a flexible number of office hours while the team is on the road.
Qualification: Candidates must have a general understanding of baseball and professional sports. Previous editing and video/audio experience or knowledge is a plus but not required. Must be well organized and must have the ability work with others.
Skills Acquired: The intern will have an opportunity to learn all aspects of game-day productions and become familiar with production software including Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. Interns will also learn to work cooperatively in a busy and deadline-driven environment, while enjoying the excitement of working within a professional sports organization.

The Binghamton Senators are one of 27 franchises that make up the American Hockey League. The Senators play 40+ games at the Broome County Veteran's Memorial Arena between the months of October and April. Our front office services a combination of community relations, marketing, corporate sponsorship sales, broadcasting, merchandising, ticket sales, accounting and broadcasting/video operation departments. Our goal is to offer the community affordable entertainment in a family atmosphere.
Television Broadcasting/Video Intern - Interns will be submersed in the world of video production and operation. Interns should be dedicated, hard working and have an interest in pursuing a profession in video production, editing or videography. It is preferred for all applicants to have good interpersonal skills, knowledge of Microsoft Windows and a basic understanding of editing and camera usage. The ability to work evening and weekend games as they relate to our season home schedule is required. The senators have a number of games that fall on holidays due to the nature of the industry; interns should be prepared to work these games.
Interns will leave this experience with the knowledge of using a video camera as it relates to live video production of a sporting event, commercial production and promotional segments and the day to day operations of a video production staff. Interns will also learn how to operate remote cameras, how our graphics generators operate and how various video segments and commercials are produced utilizing Final Cut Pro software.
Interns are monitored daily by the site supervisor. The site supervisor will maintain an open door policy in regards to input or feedback from intern staff in regards to their experiences, ideas or thoughts relating to their internship with this organization. Our office will internally review the performance of the internship staff weekly and if required address each intern individually in regards to the positives and negatives of their performance including possible solutions to things viewed as negatives.

Description: BET Nightly News is a newscast of record that

RED STORM REPORT - The St. John's Red Storm Report is a seasonal

Casting: assist the casting department by compiling and filing contracts and releases. Distribute contracts to cast for signatures.
Music: assist the music coordinator in arranging the booking and set up for guest bands. Assist the house band when necessary.
Wardrobe: assist the wardrobe department in acquiring wardrobe and costumes for the cast.
Qualifications: Must be enrolled in either a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college/university. Must be of college sophomore or above. Must be able to receive college credit for the internship and provide proof of credit. Must pass a required NBC universal background check (conducted after interview). Must be able to commit a minimum of 3 days per week throughout the semester. Research, script, casting, music, music research, and wardrobe internships require 5 days per week. Must have great attitude and strong interest in the entertainment industry! Prior internship experience is not required but is a plus.

Placement Description:
While at Lightworks, Intern will be working on a daily, magazine style show, New Morning. His/her responsibilities will include researching story ideas for field segments and potential guests for the show, coordinating and assisting on field shoots, logging tapes, maintaining our video/book library and assisting producers during studio tapings in addition to sitting in on edits and pitching stories.
Qualifications: The candidate should be (or planning to be) a communications, journalism or media major. In addition to taking courses in this field, the candidate should be good at researching and writing. They should be able to see an assignment through from beginning to end and also multi-task. Prior internship experience is always a plus. Above all, they have to be eager to learn and willing to help out through thick and thin.
Skills acquire: The intern should walk away from this experience with a good understanding of how a television show is produced from the inside out. They will learn the ABCs of booking studio guests and how a field segment is produced from beginning to end.
