Internships
We are delighted to have you visiting our website. We hope you find it useful. As you visit the site, you will find information about the many agencies that participate in the internship programs, types of internships available, and information on how to apply for an internship and other related topics.
One of the main objectives of the Internship Programs is to provide you with an opportunity to explore career paths, gain some practical experience, and help your community. You will have the opportunity to learn about the nature of the workplace and reflect about that knowledge in a classroom setting. The Internship Programs enable you to help others in a structured and recognized format with support from the University.
One very positive feature of these programs is the flexibility to allow you to do internships in interdiciplinary fields of study. Interns point to these experiences as the most positive of their academic careers.
*** International Students in F-1 or J-1 visa status must secure written authorization from the ISSS before beginning any internship. This is true for both paid and unpaid internship. Students in F-1 or J-1 visa status who begin interships without first recieving this written authorization from the ISSS will be in violation of federal immigration regulations. Protect your valid visa status.*** |
